For the price point, you really can not beat the quality of the satin used here. It feels thick and is lined very well, not flimsy or see-through at all. You can not see any undergarments through the skirt which was a big worry of mine before it arrived. It looks and feels like a boutique dress that would cost three times as much. If you are on a budget but still want a traditional ball gown vibe, this is a great option.

Our reception was in a big hotel ballroom with lots of warm lighting, and the dress looked really elegant under the chandeliers. The material does not feel cheap at all, it has a good weight to it. I was worried the long sleeves would make me sweat indoors, but the venue kept the air conditioning cranking so I was actually very comfortable. I got a lot of compliments from my older relatives who appreciated the more covered-up style.

I loved the overall look of this dress for my autumn wedding. The satin has a really nice drape to it and the lace sleeves kept the chill off during the evening. My only small complaint is that the buttons on the back take a little while to do up, so make sure whoever is helping you get dressed has some patience. Once it is on though, it feels very secure and looks incredibly elegant from every angle.

I styled this dress with a birdcage veil and red lips for a sort of vintage, timeless look. The scoop neck and satin really lend themselves well to that aesthetic. The dress held its shape nicely all day. I spilled a tiny drop of champagne on the skirt during toasts, but it wiped right off the satin without leaving a noticeable water mark, which was a huge relief.

The scoop neckline on this dress is my favorite part. It leaves just enough room for a nice necklace without looking cluttered. I paired it with a simple pearl drop necklace and it looked so classy. The lace on the bodice transitions really smoothly into the smooth skirt. I did step on the front of the skirt a few times while walking up the stairs, so definitely make sure you practice walking in it with your shoes before the big day.
