The satin has a really nice sheen to it, not that cheap shiny look. It feels very well made. I ordered a size up just in case and it is a little loose, so I would say just stick to your normal size.

This dress is everything I dreamed of and more. The A-line shape hides my tummy perfectly and makes me feel so confident. I tried it on as soon as I got it and did not want to take it off. The fabric is breathable so I do not think I will be sweating too much during my summer wedding. For anyone on the fence, just go for it. It is totally worth the money.
