I was a bit concerned that a mermaid style would make it impossible to move properly, but there is actually a decent amount of stretch in the crepe material. I spent ages on the dance floor at a corporate gala and did not feel restricted in the slightest. The asymmetrical cut at the bottom gives your legs just enough freedom to step and turn safely. It is brilliant to find something that looks so glamorous but actually lets you have a good time without tripping over yourself.

I wore this dress to a pretty fancy charity dinner and was honestly blown away by how incredibly soft the satin felt against my skin. Usually, evening gowns are stiff and scratchy, but this one was an absolute dream to wear all night long. The fabric has a gorgeous drape, so it flows perfectly without clinging to problem areas. I even managed to enjoy a three-course meal without feeling restricted at all. An absolutely stunning dress!

I am quite fussy when it comes to stitching and finishing, but I have to say the workmanship here is top notch. The zipper feels very sturdy and does not catch on the fabric, and the seams are completely straight. It feels like a properly well made garment.

The dress is quite nice but the sizing around the bust is a tiny bit snug for me. I used the size chart provided but I reckon I should have gone one size up just to have a bit more breathing room. Still, it zips up fine and gives a nice shape, so I will definitely keep it.
